Cookie & Tracking Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

This policy explains how Tamarin Labs SRL uses cookies and similar technologies on the jointamarin.com website, and the SDKs and device identifiers used in the Tamarin mobile app. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit. Mobile apps don’t use browser cookies the same way, but they use comparable technologies — software development kits (SDKs) and device identifiers such as an advertising ID — to run features, measure usage and deliver ads. We group these into essential, analytics/performance, and advertising categories.

On our website (jointamarin.com)

  • Essential — a small number of cookies needed for the site to work and be secure.
  • Analytics (optional) — if enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. Analytics is off unless configured, and where required we ask for your consent first.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.

In the Tamarin app

  • Essential — technologies that keep you signed in, sync your data and keep the app secure and stable, including crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics) and push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
  • Analytics & attribution — Firebase Analytics (usage events) and AppsFlyer (measuring which campaigns lead to installs) help us understand and improve the app.
  • Advertising — Google AdMob shows ads in the free version, and the Meta (Facebook) SDK helps measure advertising. With your consent, these may use a device advertising identifier (such as Apple’s IDFA or the Google Advertising ID) to show more relevant ads.

How to control tracking

  • iOS — we ask through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before using an advertising identifier for cross-app tracking. You can change this under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
  • Android — we ask through Google’s consent form. You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation under Settings › Google › Ads.
  • Ads — if you don’t consent, we show only non-personalised ads. Upgrading to Tamarin Pro removes ads entirely.
  • Website — manage cookies in your browser settings.
