Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Tamarin Labs SRL [confirm exact registered form: SRL or SRL-D], a company registered in Romania with its registered office at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS], Romania ([CUI]) (“Tamarin”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the Tamarin mobile app, the jointamarin.com website and related services (the “Service”). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use Tamarin, and you confirm that you are.

2. The Service

Tamarin is a hands-free, voice-guided cooking app. It reads recipes aloud and responds to voice commands, and offers shopping lists, meal planning, a pantry, and nutrition information. We may add, change or remove features over time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. Each account is for a single person.

4. Acceptable use

Use the Service for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• misuse, resell, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission;
• disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service; or
• upload content that is unlawful, harmful or infringing.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create (such as shopping lists, photos, reviews and notes). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, including syncing it across your devices and, where you choose, sharing a list via a link. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Tamarin offers an optional paid subscription, Tamarin Pro. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The current price and any free-trial terms are shown at the point of purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or any free trial), the subscription renews automatically and your store account is charged. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds and billing are handled by the app stores under their terms.

7. Ads

The free version of the Service is supported by advertising. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie & Tracking Policy for how ads and tracking work and how to control them.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the recipe catalogue, software, design, and the Tamarin name and logo, is owned by Tamarin or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it except as allowed by law.

9. App stores

You obtain the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play and must also comply with their terms. Where you use the iOS app, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Tamarin (not Apple), that Apple is not responsible for the app or for any claims relating to it, and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them.

10. Nutrition and health disclaimer

Nutrition figures, macros and other health-related information in the Service are estimates provided for general information only. They are not medical, nutritional or dietary advice and are not a substitute for a qualified professional. Recipes may not account for allergies, intolerances or specific dietary needs — always check ingredients yourself. Consult a professional before making decisions about your diet or health.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Tamarin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your mandatory rights as a consumer under Romanian and EU law are not affected.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will take reasonable steps to notify you and update the date above. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Romanian courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
